36" x 60" Oil - R.V. Harms 1992
Native students in Hazelton sometimes talked about some of the elders who had a dream of returning to the old ways before the white man came. It seemed like such a good idea but then they would mention the things they would take with them - modern white man things and they knew it could only be a dream.
A dream somewhat like Blue Jack's dream village where Hawk Woman would unwrap her blanket and give comfort to every man and woman in a village of totem poles that were really high rise apartment houses.
