This painting is a celebration of what is the best in music and life. The geometric sky floats freely and the musicians move slowly in the gentle light of a life of tenderness. Even without the musician's touch, musical instruments by association have a life of rhythms and harmonies all on their own. The flute player looks directly at you. He represents youth and the enjoyment of being young. The guitar player's eyes are closed for he knows if he closes his eyes, music is a dream for the waking man. Together they are friends brought together in a world of mutual enjoyment. They simply love music and they play it because life is happening and it is good.
